A Room With a View

Ever since we moved to Layton in July I've wanted to capture the view from our second floor apartment. Every morning I long to share the breathtaking scenes.
I find myself wanting to take pictures all the time, but lately I don't TAKE the time.
So here's to taking the time to enjoy the small moments in our lives.
The ridge to the right hand side is Antelope Island State park, and the peak in the middle is a beautiful mountain near the Kennecott copper mine South West of Salt Lake.
A beautiful sight when you can see most of the Great Salt Lake.
(Shot at appx. 7:30 AM 11/11/2011, 1/6s at f/22 -5, ISO 100, FL 80mm, Taken in 4 subsequent shots on my tripod, photomerged into a panarama)

Another shot, closer up, same exposure, but I fiddled with the levels to bring out the mountain into better prominence.
And here's at sunset on 11/13/11

Katie and Troy

One of my oldest friends recently got married and these were their engagement pics. My friend co-owns a game store, which is where these pics were taken. They're (the pictures) are a bit goofy, but they were really fun to take and edit.

Well, it's been far too long since I've put anything new on here. With some coaxing from my sister, Suzy, I've decided to start putting new stuff up here again.
I suppose some catching up is in order. But I don't know where to start. For my photography blog, I don't think I'll get into much detail. But if you'd like to get to know the person behind the lens, here's my personal blog. -
If you're just interested in my photography, then just keep logging on. Soon enough there'll be plenty to look at and admire.

Super Monday PPA Workshop

  1. 1-This was our "project" for the workshop. I had a lot of fun with my sister, Suzy at this thing. It was taught by Ted York, an award winning and certified photographer in Northern Utah. He had some interesting stories, and we had a good time.
  2. 2-A panorama of Utah Valley and Utah Lake. I think it looks better in B+W, but you be the judge.
3-SEJPC taking some photographs.
4&5-This was a really awesome natural water slide and was the destination of our hike. I wish I could do it justice.
6-The RGB version of my panorama.
